Gibbous and Full Moon

February 18 Monday
We start the week with a void of course gibbous Moon in Cancer. This can generate feelings of insecurity about opening up more of a part of ourselves that has been kept hidden. Quietly and privately this morning nurture the very best qualities to be revealed in the near future. At 11:51 am, MT, the Moon moves into life-enhancing Leo. The vibrancy of what is looming on the horizon mesmerizes us. As Mercury is stationary direct this evening at 7:57, we become keenly aware of how we shift from an orientation on the past to a fostering of new and future consciousness.

February 19 Tuesday
With the Sun having entered Pisces last night and the Moon in Leo, we may find ourselves seeking to understand what is coming forth in us against the backdrop of the myriad interactions we have with other humans on a daily basis. Certain connections seem fated and also coincidental, as if determined by the roll of dice. Question such circumstances from as many angles as you can with an attitude of openness that can shatter crystallized views of your reality. Grieve any loss, and, more importantly, rejoice in some new found knowledge that draws you into a vaster reality.

February 20 Wednesday
With the Leo Moon this morning there’s a spiritual restlessness for revealing a new role one is playing. At 10:53 am, MT, the Moon goes void of course until late this afternoon as she extinguishes the razzle-dazzle of Leo and, at 5:06 pm, replaces it with vigilant Virgo, focusing on understanding the shadow implications of the lunar eclipse beginning at 7:34 pm and lasting for almost six hours. The Moon will be at her fullest at 8:30 pm, the start of a revelatory phase of what has come into our conscious mind from our subconscious mind having to do with what has currently become transparent about our human identity.

February 21 Thursday
The full Virgo Moon offers us the opportunity to demarcate the boundaries of our awareness if we are letting more of our essence fill out our physical presence. Virgo seeks wholeness, a sense of intactness. There is a keen awareness of deficiencies, whether within oneself or in others, along with attempts to improve conditions, to generously provide what seems lacking. This can bring out archetypes within us such as the caregiver, the teacher, the mentor, and the healer. Each of us can display those archetypes without credentials when we open up and share our wisdom much as a parent does with children.

February 22 Friday
Treat this Moon in Virgo Friday as if you have a clean slate to focus on any detail that impassions you. Don’t engage in intensive analysis unless you absolutely must. It can distract or prevent you from acting on all that you are capable of becoming at this point in time. The Moon goes void of course at 7:15 pm, MT. This is a transitional period in which the Moon washes off a sign before entering the next one. Cleansing our soma synchronously with the Moon this evening is ideal. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MST, for the weekend Moon Minute.

February 23 Saturday
The Libra Moon brings to the forefront our ideals about how we would like to be seen by others, including not only the usual social poses but also an awareness of vibrant hidden factors. It’s up to us to access how we bridge our social image and that which we truly believe to be our identity. The point is, are we aspiring to restructure ourselves for appearances only or for changing ourselves both internally and externally. On Sunday at 4:49 pm, MT, the Moon enters her disseminating phase when it’s best to exhibit one’s co-ordinating efforts to display an external façade that matches the interior.
