Last Quarter Moon and Balsamic Moon

September 3 Monday
We begin this Labor Day holiday with a Gemini Moon putting diverse data together into some matrix that offers a sense of connectivity. Even in letting go of tendencies to fragment ideas and behaviors, there is a strong drive to express independence, to detach and put distance between one’s conditioning and circumstances that draw one into a feeling of unity. A part of each of us wants to express what we personally need to advance, and we want others to understand and respond. At 8:32 pm, MDT, the Moon enters her last quarter phase, a time to recognize accomplishments and become aware of a new course of action.

September 4 Tuesday
The last quarter Gemini Moon suggests we change some attitudes in the way we assert ourselves if we want to access a new avenue for growth. Listen for non-conformist posturing. How we think of ourselves and communicate those thoughts is through a system of shared ideas and ideals. Our very process of communication demonstrates a pattern of unity. Isn’t it interesting how complexity theory shows how a deviating behavior can soon become a common one. So keep in mind today that your unique expressions may simply be links to commonly shared ones.

September 5 Wednesday
The Moon moved into Cancer early this morning, providing the images we may need to develop an emerging vision of what soul agenda we may next attend to that builds on the present structure of our lives. If we have a desire to progress in our lives no matter how old we are, a part of Cancer offers us an abundance of nurturing. Even while still within the shelter of that mythical crab shell, we can endlessly dream of and long for deeper meaner derived from the ongoing drama of human connections. Give yourself permission or encouragement to advance on this life journey.

September 6 Thursday
Thurday’s Cancer Moon might find us doing what needs to be done in order to explore new territory. At 11:04 am, MDT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow morning. During this time she drains herself of the life-supporting waters of Cancer. We, too, can use this time to release the parts of our past that we have outgrown. There is a marked sensitivity to whatever surrounds us during this period. Moods can be super-infectious. To avoid swinging the pendulum of emotional states, harbor yourself in an atmosphere of your choosing that supports how you want to feel.

September 7 Friday
Friday morning may have a feeling of loneliness with the void of course Cancer Moon, but moods can change rapidly. And we can expect that when the Moon moves into upbeat Leo at 10:59 pm, MDT. Just 36 minutes before that she enters her balsamic phase, oozing out any remnants of outgrown behavior that this cycle brought into our awareness and urging us to venture into speculative realms about this month’s pursuits. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

September 8 Saturday
The Leo balsamic Moon lends herself to speculating on the future. And as Venus goes stationary direct this afternoon in the sign of Leo, we may want to incite others with hopes for a mutually shared future. Our instincts may be keenly honed in on the spirit of what is being asked of us at this time. And we can be on fire with the power of change we feel in our dna, in the part of us that’s wired to evolve. On Sunday from 12:07 pm, until 7:10 pm, MDT, the Moon is voiding herself of Leo, forcing outward an expression of our insights. And after 7:10, when she moves into Virgo, she provides deep impressions of what’s to come.
