Disseminating and Last Quarter Moon

October 29 Monday
We start the week with a disseminating Gemini Moon. Enough critical information is available at this point in a cycle for us to understand the consequences of certain social behaviors. It’s time to demonstrate that realization of how far one should go while working with others, of when to nip off a possible liason and let it go. It’s best to be free of some social pressures while maintaining the basic connections. The Moon goes void of course at 1:50 pm, MDT, for five hours of blowing out the accumulated data of Gemini that can bring on a sense of anxious free-floating. At 6:49 pm, the Moon moves into calming Cancer.

October 30 Tuesday
The disseminating Cancer Moon with its crab shell image may bring up attachments to familiar patterns no matter how destructive they can be. Cancer brings us into a circle of familiarity like that of a family. The pressure of being surrounded in such a way triggers defense mechanisms in some. There can also be a dreamy, utopian sense of what can be engendered. Generalizing from one’s personal experience can bring a range of feelings from discontent to excitement. Watch for internal tug-of-wars between holding on and letting go.

October 31 Wednesday
This Cancer Moon reminds us of the deep connections within families, their loyality issues and shared problems. Their capacity to cope with and compensate for short-comings. At 11:13 am, MDT, the Moon goes void of course for over eleven hours of emptying out the permissive, encouraging nurturance that Cancer can offer. During this time the planet Neptune appears stationary, emphasizing meditative or altered states of consciousness. We can easily be over-whelmed or thin-skinned during this time. Reality can elude us. Seek refuge within your personal comfort zone.

November 1 Thursday
Thursday’s Leo Moon reminds us that we get what we deserve. Leo is a generous sign. It’s like the Sun giving light and heat to the earth which brings forth many things. If we take more than we’re offered, the consequences may be troublesome. With the last quarter phase that begins at 3:16 pm, MDT, centering one’s self and aligning with core values can assist in summing up an honest appraisal of some specific behaviors. An overview coalesces and clearly defines problem areas and how one can act responsibly. Fairness may be emphasized as Mercury is stationary direct at 4:00 pm.

November 2 Friday
With this Leo Moon play around with restoring a healthy pride in what you do. Appearance are deceptive, and your heart knows what is true and good. How we’ve been is a springboard into what we hope to be. Within each of us is a unique capacity to overcome our misdeeds and shaggy edges. With Leo we can pull ourselves together with high hopes and strategically place ourselves in some ideal situation. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

November 3 Saturday
The Moon moved into Virgo at 6:45 this morning, MDT. Virgo helps us comprehend the whole picture by picking out details and magnifying them so that we can have clarity and, in some cases, certainty about something. We may feel hemmed in by sensory input today. On Sunday differing views may amaze us if we access a mixture of competing interests. It may be difficult to have that Virgo finger in many pots. So beware of over-extending yourself, as well as doing things haphazardly. Seek to understand and to be understood.
