Balsamic and New Moon

June 11 Monday
The Taurus Moon secures our confidence in some inkling of what might emerge by the week’s end. Dismiss any fear of shortcomings and cut yourself some slack to expect the optimal outcome. At 2:33 pm, MDT, the Moon enters her balsamic phase during which we might feel competent about the usefulness of how we link with our ideals yet off balance with a feeling of possibly going out on a limb to make an unfamiliar connection. This is a time for leaping from the known to the unknown. Can you take yourself in a new direction?

June 12 Tuesday
The Taurus Moon indicates a susceptibility to natural beauty but not to abrupt interruptions by new elements in the landscape of the day. Sentiments of the past that have kept you on a reliable path may keep you out of trouble in situations that lack clarity. At 5:19 pm, MDT, the Moon goes void of course until tomorrow morning. During this time, she is thinning out the the Taurean appetite for sensory pleasures like costumes, music, and flowers. Before you go to sleep, ask your dream self to give you all the sensory input you can handle that might assist you on some issue or project.

June 13 Wednesday
The Moon goes into Gemini’s space at 6:24 am, MDT, reminding us that there are many things that we can choose to do. Test your limits. See how many paths you can travel, and give of yourself with each encounter. Let the excitement of new discoveries overcome any fear or sense of overwhelm. This day before a new Moon is fertile with ideas sparked by the environment. Let your curiosity guide you wherever you smell a hint of passion in the air. Open up to new experiences. Be completely up front with your thoughts and impressions.

June 14 Thursday
As we approach tonight’s new Moon, we may get flashes of how our behavior could be changed and how self doubt and inhibitions curtail self progress. There are also reminders of how life is a spiritual journey that involves leaps of faith. At 9:13 pm, MDT, the Moon is hidden in the Sun’s embrace and impregnated with a new theme of how we explore the territory that connects and unites us. Does such a space bring up confidence or insecurity in us? Is it fun or scary being there? Are there boundaries that support connectivity and wholesome fun?

June 15 Friday
The Gemini new Moon is void of course filling the air with daydreams and hidden messages about directions to take. At 7:45 am, MDT, the Moon slips into Cancer. Behind impulses to act and initiate things is a reluctance to move or say much. This comes from Mercury stationary, going retrograde at 5:40 pm, and with the Moon and Mercury meeting tonight, we may feel like cautiously figuring out our next moves. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 1:00 to 1:30 pm, MDT, for the weekend Moon Minute.

June 16 Saturday
Saturday’s Cancer Moon nudges the childlike wonder in us to take us where the wild things are. It is not a day for complacency. Allow yourself to get ruffled, excited! The Moon goes void of course after midnight until late Sunday morning. During that time dreams may have a strong influence as well as people we contact. At 11:25 am, MDT, Sunday, the Moon moves into Leo, reinforcing the climate of fun suggested on Saturday. Let the kid in you play, and remember, children who are loved, start out feeling connected. Love your inner child!
