Disseminating and Last Quarter Moon

Monday September 23 The Taurus Moon entered her disseminating phase last night and is in it until Thursday night. During this time as the Moon loses half of the light of her fullness, it’s as if that light lights up areas of our minds previously unconscious. “A-ha” moments of understanding brighten our thoughts, and we may be able to articulate a greater recognition of our ancestral heritage. Also very early this morning the Taurus moon went void of course, throwing off the practicality of methodical Taurus until after midnight. We might wander aimlessly through the day or loss track now and then of the task at hand. Tuesday September 24 With this Gemini Moon, thoughts shift and imagination flies. Unrealistic expectations can follow them. There are many unusual ideas to explore and discuss with like-minded people. Recent perceptions provide new avenues to investigate. Gemini can be open to just about anything and fairly comprehensive, in a far-reaching sense, of a diverse collection of subject matters, especially the topic of this Moon cycle, family and ancestors. The Gemini area of our natal charts can tell us a lot about our siblings, cousins, and extended family. What have you learned from these relatives? Wednesday September 25 With this Gemini Moon, memories of exchanges, secrets, and sacrifices of senior family members can offer understanding of tough past situations. By transporting ourselves mentally to moments in which closeness or confinement brought up motivation to re-structure or re-design certain conditions, we may discover some overlooked facts about our family tree. Many of our personal pursuits are shaped and sometimes shared by an extremely small portion of the world population we call our biological family. There are moments today in which we can see and question the impact of our ancestors. Thursday September 26 The Gemini Moon went void of course at 5:21 am, MT, for eight hours. During this time while the Moon is leaving Gemini our thoughts and conversations can wander aimlessly and into strange territory. If you have been pondering your family tree during this lunation, non-physical, perhaps spiritual or mystical information can glide quietly through your minds. At 1:24 pm, the Moon moves into clannish sign of Cancer. Increased understanding is available regarding the value and opportunities afforded to us when we pursue a comprehension of our family myths. Friday September 27 Last night the Cancer Moon entered her last quarter phase when moments arrive that can help us grasp the meaning and value of this Moon cycle. During the next four days converging forces can provide a matrix which forms our family myths. These are models of how we live and why we live that sometimes provide surprising inklings of the commonalities of many, if not all, families. Our emotional bonds may be formed out of complex needs, yet we all seek well-being. Listen to MoonWise tomorrow on the worldwide web at ksfr.org from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, MT, for the weekend Moon Minute. Weekend September 28 and 29 Saturday’s Cancer Moon reminds us of the spiritual and emotional heritage of our families and its power to move us in mysterious ways. Thoughts of relationship scars might get in the way of proud feelings regarding family. Honest and thoughtful observations can, however, provide a perspective which forgives and accepts. During the night the Moon moves into cheery Leo, bringing opportunities to create a new regard for our personal and social conditioning, based on the remnants of our past. Hopeful yearnings may come up for a fresh start at keeping away from problem areas and finding a way to be at peace with the past.
